Pros and cons of allSecure app for iPhone and iPad

allSecure app good for

I was struggling to find an app for controlling my Envisalink 3 module with a Honeywell Vista 20-P panel. The EyeZ-ON web-based "app" lacks a bunch of functionality. Enter, allSecure. This gem has already proven to be much more flexible and usable in the one day I have been using it. It took a couple emails to the developer to get it running smoothly (he responded within 30 minutes of my request), but this is nothing that cannot be overcome with some more documentation on his website. I have already requested some feature enhancements that, I hope, will make this app even stronger. Bravo! Latest update crashes app!!!
I installed an envisalink on my existing security system a year ago and was less than impressed with the user interface on my phone. This app is the missing link and is all I need to self monitor my homes zones. Not a lot of features but hopefully they will add some!
Works great shows you the zones and history on last time they tripped. You can arm in either mode and disarm all remotely. Allows custom labels for zones and multiple systems and partitions
I have an older DSC Alarm system, and with a simple install of the Envisalink 4 & the allSecure app, my alarm is now like any new system out there. Works instantly to arm and disarm - very responsive! Lets you label your zones in the app easily, and testing the system is easy and setup was a snap! I had one tiny issue with port setup on my Verizon router, but I submitted a support email, and received a detailed helpful email. Super fast support and now I can access my system from anyplace! An enhancement I would love would be notifications! And possible IFTTT integration to allow me to link my alarm system to my Wink Hub automated home. Or even better, use the Wink Hub api to talk directly! Keep up the great work. Also, a cleaner UI would also be nice.

Very nice app. It works well with Envisalink 4 and Honeywell Vista 20P panel. The Auto Configure did not work for me and crashed the app. I just entered the configuration info manually and it works great on both Local and Remote. This is much nicer than the interface that Envisalink offers and seems to respond faster. This app is nice for checking zone status and setting the alarm in Away or Stay mode. This app does not notify you if the alram has tripped, but the Envisalink can be set up to send you both a text & email for alarms. The support team for this app is very responsive. At first I could only see 16 zones so I contacted support. They were very heplful and the problem was not on the app. It ended up that Envisalink only reports the highest zone that has been tripped since the last re-boot of the Envisalink. So Zone 17 (a seldom used door) did not show up. Once I opened the door all my zones were visable on the allSecure app. More features would always be nice, but for now it is a solid and useful app.

Some bad moments

App used to work fine, but latest app update causes the app to crash as soon as it opens. Frustrating to say the least.
This has worked fine until it was just upgraded and now no functionality at all. It crashes as soon as its opened on iPhone 6s.
Waste of money for me since the bypass feature isnt available.
He local connection works okay, but the remote is very flakey. I know how to forward ports and have no issues with anything else. The connection tests just fine within the app and it correctly polls the alarm for the status. It also correctly reads when a zone was last triggered remotely. Most of the time it will NOT arm/disarm remotely and displays a "HW Seq 2" timeout error message. Im using the latest EVL-4 on a Vista 20p panel. I can connect to the EVL-4 from outside my network through a web browser without issue. This may be a limitation of the 20p, but it doesnt show which zones are currently open, only the last time it was opened. This is annoying if you cant arm the alarm and dont know which zone is open. This is a side note and not the developers fault, but they need a secure connection option.
The application works ok most of the time, sometimes while using it on WAN it gives some time out errors, the port forwarding is correctly configured and access to Internet is fine so its the application giving problems, this is usually fixed just by re trying sending the command again and it works, that is not a real problem. What I dont like is that the development on this application seems like it has stopped, for example, today nov 11 2016 a new release was sent, nothing new, an UI redesign is really necessary, improve user experience, new functions, etc. None of this seems to be on the works.
Tried configuring for hours, app always crashes. Not with the money
